Prism: A prism is the optical components with high preicision polished surfaces. At least two of the flat surfaces have an angle between them. Mainly used for break light up like dispersive or beamsplitter. Or used for light reflection. Even some parts can glued together for a certain light transmission or reflective purpose. Right Angle prisms used for deviation image or beam by 90degree or 180degree, normally material can be Fused Silica, H-K9L, CaF2, Ge, Znse, etc. Optional coating can be Anti-reflective, High-reflective with some painting.
